Fietser zwaargewond op Borneostraat in deelbuurt Trichterveld in Mariaberg

[Maastricht | 6 september 2024] Vrijdagmiddag is rond kwart voor twee een fietser ernstig gewond geraakt op de Borneostraat in deelbuurt Trichterveld in de Maastrichtse wijk Mariaberg. De fietser kwam vermoedelijk ten val.

De 112-melding kwam binnen om 13:47 uur. Als gevolg van het letsel werd een traumahelikopter opgeroepen. Die hoefde uiteindelijk niet te landen. Het slachtoffer werd per ambulance naar het ziekenhuis vervoerd. Volgens L1 zou er sprake zijn van ernstig (hersen)letsel.

Cyclist seriously injured on Borneostraat in Trichterveld sub-district of Mariaberg

[Maastricht | September 6, 2024] On Friday afternoon around 1:45 pm a cyclist was seriously injured on Borneostraat in sub-district Trichterveld in the Maastricht neighborhood of Mariaberg. The cyclist is believed to have fallen over.

The 112 report came in at 1:47 pm. As a result of the injuries, a trauma helicopter was called in. It eventually did not have to land. The victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital. According to regional regional broadcaster L1, serious (brain) injuries were reported.
