‘Caretakers of the environment’ laat de traditionele industrie even voor wat het is en toont concrete voorbeelden en voordelen van economische en sociale duurzaamheid, hand in hand met culturele samenwerking over de stads- en landsgrenzen heen.
Onderstaande clip van The Blue Village Army (vernoemd naar een vroegere ‘jeugdbende’ uit Blauwdorp) is een rehearsel recording van het nummer ‘Run run Superman’. Naast dit nummer is de band druk bezig met het instuderen van zo’n twintig andere nummers.

Friday, July 6th, The Blue Village Army will perform at the 26th international ‘Caretakers of the environment’ conference at Landbouwbelang in Maastricht. In addition a band from Denmark and a DJ will perform that day.
‘Caretakers of the Environment’ takes you away from Traditional Industry towards Creativity and Sustainability. During the conference visitors will be shown many examples of how both economic and social sustainability can go hand in hand with cultural crosstown partnerships and cross- border co-operation.
The following clip from The Village Blue Army (named after a former Blauwdorp youth 'gang'), is a rehearsal recording of the song ‘Run run Superman'. Besides this song, the band is rehearsing some twenty other songs to add to their portfolio.
